This was an EPIC event! I don’t normally utilize the word “epic” as a descriptive word but this is exactly what the doctor prescribed!
Motonosity and JakeTheGardenSnake had a meet up on Saturday. It was a well planned and thought out event. Sadly, I was unable to attend. I then find out that LoudandDave and TheAK47s have a Supermoto Sunday planned the following day. I saw a break in my schedule and decided to join in. That was the best decision that I have made in some time. Everyone was really nice and we all had a good time. I got separated from the group but still had a great time.

Buying a motorcycle is much more than just buying the motorcycle. Please consider a few more options than just the motorcycle cost (no particular order):
* Motorcycle
* Helmet
* Jacket
* Gloves
* Boots
* Pants
* Insurance
* Registration
* High maintenance schedule (oil, chain, sprockets and such)
* Add-ons and upgrades (Air filer, fuel manager or jet kit, exhaust, PIMP LIGHTS, bling and things)
The additional junk can cost more than the bike in a hurry. This is just a consideration for the person/people that are considering their first motorcycle and don’t already have or know about the other items.

Z125 vs Grom Racing and Playing – Apples and Oranges
Stock Z125 vs Modified Grom.
The Z125 has no modifications at all.
The Grom has full Ohlins Suspension, new tires, Handlebars and a Two Brothers Exhaust.
Hence the title – Apples and Oranges…
It was going home after work and just having fun.
It seems that the the advantages, in this apples and oranges test, are as follows:
0-50% = Grom
50-90% = Kawasaki
90-100% = Grom
YES, I do have the Yoshimura exhaust on order.
We’ll see again when the pipe arrives… 🙂
